We advice you to go to:

• Bottega della Ceramica, Piazza Casavola
• Bottega dei Pizzi e Merletti, Piazza Roma
• Bottega Ferro Battuto, C.so V. Emanuele
• Bottega delle Maioliche, via Paisiello

ANTIQUITIES, COLLECTION AND HANDCRAFT MARKET

Either in summer or in winter, the antiquities market is a constant appointment that takes place on the third sunday of every month. Antiquarians show their treasures: nick-nacks, ancient little furniture, jewels, incisions, books, strip cartoons, silverware, vases and other things. It is in Viale della Libertà from 9 a.m. until sunset, every third sunday per month.

FLAVOURS AND KNOWLEGDE WORKSHOPS

Flavours and knowledge workshops are the “ideal” itinerary fot those who want to taste and know local gastronomy flavours, discovering ancient wisdom and traditions. We advice you to stop in one of the many wine shops, oil mills or bakers’, to taste a frisellina seasoned with green tomatoes, oregano and a bit of olive oil, drinking a glass of wine.

SHOPS

In every corner of the town you can buy any sort of things.

The commercial streets, however, are corso Messapia, where there are the smartest shops in town, Via della Libertà, piazza XX Settembre, Via Taranto, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, that goes along the whole old town centre (in dialect it is called U Ring)

SHOW ROOM - TAILORING

In Martina Franca there is a famous secular tradition in the tailoring industry: handmade beautiful clothes still resist to the introduction of machines, keeping alive the ancient tradition of local masters and an entrepreneurial bent. The attention given to details and refinement are essential elements to make high quality clothes that, in the beginning of the third millennium, are famous both in Italy and abroad. In the big factories show-rooms , that are opened even on sunday, you can buy high quality clothes and the relation between quality and price is excellent.

WEEKLY MARKET

The weekly market takes place on Wednesday morning every week.

It spreads out from Via Giulio Recupero to Piazza d’Angiò, even in the lateral little streets.

It is the biggest market in the area and you can buy anything you need...
