XX SETTEMBRE SQUARE
Piazza XX Settembre (XX Settembre Square) is commonly called "u
stradòn". In the past it used to be the Market Square. It
stretches before the wonderful Arch of S.Stefano and it
overlooks the Municipal Park. It is embellished by a wonderful
building of the Thirties, where there is the Verdi
Cinema-Theatre and it was realized at the end of 1800, for the
will of the mayor Mr. Fighera. |

ROMA SQUARE
Piazza Roma (Roma Square) (1668) instead, has a peculiar
triangular shape and you can get to it passing through S.Stefano
Arch. In the past, it was called “Largo Castello” (Castle Yard)
(because there was the ancient Orsini Castle), and then it was
called Piazza del Popolo. |

In the middle of the square there is the
beautiful Dolphins Fountain and, all around, you can admire:
Palazzo Martinucci of the XVIII century, the stately and
monumental Ducal Palace and the back of S.Stefano Arch. |
