BARNABA OR MARTURANO PALACE
This building is one of the first examples of patrician
dwelling in Martina. It was built by the Earl Pietro Antonio
Barnaba in 1719 and there are some important late-Reinassance
elements, like the two stone balustrades with bulged little
columns. |

RUGGERI PALACE
Ruggeri Palace stands next to the stately San Martino
Basilica. It has a peculiar red colour and, during the past
years, was radically restored. It definitely is one of the
most beautiful buildings of Martina old town centre.
On its façade, during Fascist times, there was an image of
Benito Mussolini’s profile. Nowadays, this palace has a great
cultural importance and it is the seat of University Masters,
meetings and exhibitions. |
